Ring of Bricks!

Thanks for the title, Kyle.

Here is our ring of bricks in the backyard.  We have started a new tradition of Friday night camp fires.  You can see the ring of bricks (fire pit) during the day & during the night.  The time around the fire is relaxing & a time to share about our week.

What is Gregg up to??

Kyle asked if I know how to use my camera yet.  I can do the basics, sort of.
He also wanted to know what else Gregg is up to.  So here goes . . .

Filming & caring for the dogs - Thor & Mojo

Scraping in preparation for priming the back door trim.

Cooking dinner -- oh, my!

And the bigee --> eBay!!

This is the eBay studio!  Items are displayed to show their best features.  The lighting is great & the props are unique.

Once the item has been photographed it is moved to the staging area, once known as a pool table.  When an item has successfully sold at auction it can be shipped to the lucky buyer.

This is the pack & ship station.  All the necessary supplies are readily at hand.

I remember all the grief I got from the family for years because I kept cardboard boxes & "stuff" in the storage room under the stairway.  Now those boxes have become shipping containers for "stuff."  It really is true that one person's trash is another person's treasure.

Financial Peace University

Do you have financial peace?  We are facilitating our 4th Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University class at church on Sunday nights.  Here is a picture of the class taken with my new camera.  We always learn something new with each class & this one is no exception.  It is always good to be reminded of the basics.  God owns it all & we need to be good stewards of what He has entrusted to each of us.

Kyle & Shannon

Check out Kyle & Shannon's blog at http://khannonandsyle.blogspot.com/.  You can see a few pictures of their honeymoon in Japan (and a movie!), plus follow what they have been doing since then.  Gregg & Kyle are working on the editing of THE wedding video.  They plan to post it on vimeo at some point in time.

What do you "cling" to?

I'm still experimenting with my new digital camera.  I took this picture of a frog "clinging" to the kitchen window.  It started me thinking about what I "cling" to in this life.  I "cling" to a lot of material stuff.  I want to change that & "cling" more to Jesus.  What do you "cling" to?  Think about it!  Feel free to post comments about what you "cling" to.

Fourteen megapixels!

Gregg says, "Take a 14 megapixel picture!"  I had just received a new camera & was trying it out.  I was supposed to be taking a picture like Gregg said, but instead I shot this video.  You may have to turn up the sound to hear this.  I realize 14 megapixels may be overkill, but I needed the 3 inch display!

OKLAHOMA!

We decided to go visit Jim's sister, Betsy, in Oklahoma over the Labor Day weekend.  We drove all day Thursday, Sept. 2nd.  On Friday we walked & drove around downtown Oklahoma City, or OKC as it is fondly called.  We spent most of the day Saturday with Betsy & her family.  Then we drove home on Sunday.  It was worth all the driving to spend time with family who are so precious to us.

The canal walk @ Bricktown.

Buffalo around town!

Buffalo at the library.
South end of the river walk has this Land Run monument.

Waterfalls & fountains at the river walk & around downtown.

Let's play ball!

God's awesome creation!
We saw a full rainbow after severe thunderstorms Thursday night.  By the time we got back to the motel & my camera, the clouds were obscuring most of the rainbow.
