Exploring Nashville

We finally made it to downtown Nashville.
It was a beautiful day --> sunshine & about90 degrees!
We started out at  . . . .
There was a full size replica of the Parthenon that is located on the Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
We saw some interesting garden elements near the Parthenon.
Can you guess what this is?

Next it was on to school!!

School wore us out, so we drove downtown and found a place to park.
First we wandered around the river front.
The beautiful Cumberland River runs through downtown.

There was some kind of event going on.
Later in the morning we saw swimmers on a course in the river.

 Music Row
There were many signs throughout downtown with maps so you could tell where you were & decide where you wanted to go.

Printer's Alley
Exactly like the name says --> This was a glorified alley!

My impression of Nashville --->  Music and Boots!!

The last area we explored downtown was the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

There was a granite timeline wall starting from several thousand years BC to the present day.  It was interesting to read more about Tennessee's history.
Adjacent to the park was the Nashville Farmer's Market.
The Capital building was across the street.

On our way back to the car we wandered through the Public Square.

Then home for some much needed rest!!
Now we can say we have seen downtown Nashville.
