FLORIDA COLLEGE BASEBALL

Hubby loves college baseball, so off to the University of Florida we go!

The sun was shining, but it was cold.  Brrr!
Good thing I had packed my thermal underwear.
As the evening lengthened it got colder, so we only stayed for five innings!
The Gators were winning when we left and they held on to win the game.

The next morning we donned our thermal underwear
to hike in the Sweetwater Wetlands Park.

It was not a long hike, but there was a lot of wildlife to enjoy.
Now, we need some hot chocolate to warm up!!

BRIGHT LINES - BRIGHT FRIENDS

Almost three years ago I started following the Bright Line Eating (BLE) method
to address my food addiction issue.
I have developed lasting friendships with Florida area ladies.
We gather together once or twice a month
for support, encouragement, and continuing education.

This is how we celebrated Christmas -
group lunch and gift exchange.

All Florida Bright Line Eaters were invited to a statewide gathering
at the Hampton Inn downtown Orlando in January.
During the day we had an ongoing clothing exchange,
which was a cheap way to get some new clothing in new sizes!

Seated at round tables we spent time getting to know each other.

After we partook of our BLE lunches a special guest and BLE coach
Marianne M shared words of wisdom gleaned from her BLE journey.

One brave male joined sixty female participants!
We rotated through some group activities
based on your area of interest.
There were a total of sixty-one participants
who collectively lost 2,890 pounds!!

NEW YEAR NEW GOALS

I have continued my running activity.
I do not run long distances or enter many events,
but I still enjoy the physical and social benefits.
My goal for 2019 was to run continuously (vs intervals) for four miles.
I crushed that goal on January first!!
Time for  a new goal.
Did not want to slow down to take this picture

Enjoy the journey!!

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

Again this year we decided to tour a nearby neighborhood
and view their Christmas light displays.

My personal favorite!

When pigs fly!!

Hubby's sister sent this picture of her Christmas baking.
These are hubby's favorite cookies,
but we can never make them the way his sister can.
Every time we visit she always finds time to make these cookies for hubby.
Thanks Be!!
This is our precious oldest son and his family while visiting his in-laws.
My niece got married two days before Christmas
at a resort in San Diego, California.
Congrats J and R!!

GRATEFUL FOR GRANDCHILDREN

I am so grateful for our precious grandchildren.
I regret that they are so far away,
but we willingly moved south.
However, that was before there were any grandchildren!!
I treasure each visit we make to visit with them.
Our daughter-in-law does a great job of sending pictures every few days and
we skype often, but nothing beats a hug and kiss in person.

Both of the grandchildren wanted to show off their bike riding skills,
so we walked to the neighborhood park about a block away.

Two days before we had walked to another nearby park for gymnastics class.
The parks department was holding a program outside
that was teaching bird characteristics.
The grandchildren knew all of the birds and
could find them in nearby trees and bushes.
Granted the birds were just beanie babies,
but the kids could identify all of them.
As we strolled back to the building we saw
a woman restoring this intriguing tree sculpture.
On our departure day the grandchildren had lessons,
so they left with mom while our son took us to the airport for our flight home.

I am already anticipating our next visit!!
