VISITING PAGOSA SPRINGS

While in Colorado for the summer
we visited my girlfriend & her husband in southern Colorado.
Pagosa Springs is famous for,
what else but
natural hot springs!
It is surrounded by the San Juan Mountains
with the San Juan River running through town.
Nearby Wolf Creek ski area is a popular winter destination.

Since C & J had to work during the day,
we decided to hike nearby Four Mile Trail.
There were two viewable falls.
We knew they would not be spectacular
due to the dry conditions over the summer,
but it was still a very enjoyable hike.

First falls

First falls

Second falls
We saw what we had expected.
The falls were not impressively flowing,
but they were still worth seeing.
We did not hike to the second falls,
just took this picture of it.

The wild raspberries were worth the hike.
They were sooooooo delicious!!

Here is a family photogragh of my girlfriend.

It was so nice to spend time with them!!

Hopefully we will do it again next year.

HIKING MACEY LAKES

For our next hiking adventure in the Rockies we wanted to trek to a lake.
We debated between a new lake or a lake we had previoiusly visited.
The new lake won that debate!
It was quite a drive to the trail head,
but Macey Lakes was well worth it.

Happy Trails to you !!!
