Grandchildren Visit (finale)

I think our grandson could join Rachel & Guy's Kids Cook-Off!
He is helping mom make blueberry/raspberry pancakes.
It seems like half of his toys are real kitchen implements.
Our daughter-in-law spends time in the kitchen cooking & our grandson loves to help.

One day we were pleasantly surprised to be at the park at the same time as the
Aztec Conchero dancers.  The costumes & music were one of a kind!

Our grandson picked up the dance & performed for us!

Another interesting find at the park!

Graduation!
Our son recently graduated with a Master's degree in Graphic Design
from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Our precious granddaughter!
Finally got a smile when she heard & recognized mom.

I loved spending time with my precious grandchildren.
Such precious memories!
I pray God's blessing on them & I look forward to seeing them grow & mature.

Grandchildren Visit (part 2)

Our grandson loves music!
I think he owns every kind of musical instrument.
His uncle recently gave him a keyboard.
He is composing an original piece titled "Ode to Baseball."

Here they are making music together.

Time to rest after all that hard work.

One day we joined some other moms & our grandson's friends at Adams Playground Park on North Seminary in the Lincoln Park area.
We went for the fantastic water park, but the weather did not cooperate.
It was cool & overcast.  Eventually it rained on us, thereby cutting the outing short.
Lots of sand toys were available.

Grandchildren Visit (part 1)

Recently I spent a week with my precious grandchildren.
They are growing too quickly!
My grandson keeps me thoroughly entertained.
I'm sure his sister will too when she grows up.
Here are a few things we did during the week.

Getting ready to go to the park!
The windup
Good throwing position!

Running the bases w/Grandpa
One night we walked ~2 miles to have dinner at a Vietnamese sandwich shop.
It was a beautiful evening to enjoy our tasty meal outside.

Budding Chalk artist

Hubby & son would have rather eaten here
Posing with one of his favorite instruments!

They left the light on for us & it's pet friendly!
The artists at work.

The newest addition to the family!

Stay tuned!
I have many more pictures & a couple of videos to share.
Until next time, have a great day!!

Hendersonville's Greenway Trails

It was another beautiful Saturday in middle TN, sunny & mid-eighties.
We decided to walk the Hendersonville Greenway Trails.

We logged approximately 8.5 miles.
Here are some of the sights.

Fountain at Memorial Park

This is Sonny & his rider

We paused to get our ducks in a row!

I was more than ready for a drink of water by the time we got back to the car.
Remember there are real hills in TN, so this was a great workout.
It was a very enjoyable way to spend the morning!
