Dinner at the Roadhouse

We arrived at our Colorado destination late on a Saturday night.
We were all hungry and did not have the supplies to prepare a meal,
so off to town we went.
The Roadhouse looked like a bar and we were not sure it was family friendly.
A quick step inside showed a family dining area complete with a kid play area.
This was a no-frills place where you walked up to a window and ordered.
Dinner was served in baskets or styrofoam containers.

Our hunger was satisfied!
Grocery shopping was planned for early the next day.
Luckily our daughter-in-law is a great cook!
We just have to do the clean up afterwards.

Outdoor Fun Colorado Style

We spent a lot of time on the front porch.
Blowing bubbles was just one of the fun activities we enjoyed.
The Tonka dump truck really worked hard during the grandchildren's visit.

Even working in the garden was fun!

Our granddaughter was fascinated with going up & down the back deck stairs.
She would go up & down for hours if you let her.
There was no shortage of rocks to collect!
 Stay tuned!
More fun pictures are coming soon.

Independence Day - Small Town Colorado Style

It has been many years since I have gone to a parade.
We thought the local Independence Day parade would be a fun family activity.

Here we are finishing breakfast & relaxing on the front porch
before  the trip into town for the parade.

There was a caravan of vehicles down the mountain
as everyone drove to town for the parade.
We parked at one end of main street by the bluffs because it was less congested.
The Paca Peace Ranch had an alpaca in a corral that you could pet and feed.
On our way down Main Street to find a good vantage point T took a detour for a caboose ride.

Small town Colorado Main Street.

Trick Horses!

That's what I call a Pooper scooper!!

Happy Feet!!

After the parade we had lunch at the local bowling alley.

A good time was had by all!
Stay tuned for more vacation updates.
