FAITHFULLY ROOTED RETREAT

Several months ago I signed up to participate in a local retreat
 at a friend's bed & breakfast.
I was not sure what the weekend would encompass,
but I was ready to grow deeper in my faith.

The retreat center was in an ideal location right on the river.

There was an emphasis on faith, fitness, and food.
We had thought provoking breakout sessions.
There were plenty of fitness sessions which varied from
yoga to strength to PAZAZ.
There was delicious healthy food
with fantastic fellowship at every meal.

I even went a four mile run with my friend K,
who also happens to be the owner of the B & B.
Thank you, Lord, for your many blessings!!

HOME SWEET HOME

While we were away all summer
things continued to grow.
Moringa started from seed

We witnessed a full rainbow!!
It was hard to capture in a single picture.

ON THE WAY HOME

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019!!

I'm still trying to catch up on 2018 blog pictures, so
here are a few "before we leave" wrap up pictures from summer 2018.

Sangre de Cristo mountains

We stopped at this rest area on the way home.
It intrigued me!

We visited Chip and Joanna Gaines' Magnolia in Waco, Texas.
Yes, part of it was a tourist trap, but
it was still interesting to see the real thing
and compare it to what you see on TV.

This is NOT Chip!
Demo Day!
We spent two nights with hubby's sister.
We had a sweet set up -
big screen TV (for ballgames or gaming),
recliner, cup holder, extra pillows, blankets,
electrical and USB port for gadgets.
I need a set up like that at home!

Brother-in-law is really into kitchen gadgets.
He demonstrated several and
some he was willing to part with if I wanted them.
I did not find a gadget that I could not live without!
They turned us onto Walmart Pick Up.
We gave it a try when we returned home.
It was slick and a time saver upon return,
but we have not used it since then.
They also told us about Buc-ee's!
You know everything is always bigger in Texas and
Buc-ee's is no exception.
We stopped at the one in Houston.
I did not even get a picture of the gas pumps.
There were over sixty!!

Stay tuned for more . . . .
