RUNNING AT ALTITUDE!

Last year we ran in the Westgrass 5K, 

so we decided to run it again this year.

The race was a lot better organized than last year.

The shirts and medals were better also!

We came all the way Florida for this.

But we did improve our time by 1 1/2 minutes!

It was a fun race and we will probably run the race again next year!!

FOURTH OF JULY - Small Town Style

We enjoyed the 4th of July parade small town style again this year.

Two main differences we noticed from last year were:

the fire trucks sprayed water which cooled off the spectators and

free lunch was offered by two different organizations.

SUMMER AROUND THE HOMESTEAD

Here is a small sample of what summer looks like around the homestead.

We call this mountain "Smiley" Horn Peak - altitude 13,450 feet.

 I do not know all the names of the wildflowers,

but they are pretty and plentiful.
