NEW COOKS IN THE KITCHEN

It was three days before Christmas when new cooks invaded the Schlie kitchen.

Jim wanted Lemon Bon Bons and since it wasn't on my baking list, he decided he would make them for himself.  Somehow he roped Gregg into helping with the icing.  Jim's mom always made Lemon Bon Bons for Christmas.  I have made them a few times, but they are too fussy and taste so-so.  When we ranked Christmas baking a few years ago they only carded one vote - Jimmy's!!  When we were in OK in September Jim's sister Betsy made some Lemon Bon Bons for him.  They sure were a lot better than anything I had ever made.  I think the secret is in the high priced KitchenAid mixer!
